# Executive Summarizer
## When to use
- User provides a long document, email thread, Slack thread, or meeting transcript requesting a summary or briefing
- Input contains organizational decisions, project updates, or status reports needing executive-level distillation
- User explicitly asks for "executive summary," "briefing," "BLUF," or similar compression formats
## Guidelines
### Core Principles
**BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front)**: Lead with the single most important finding in 1-2 sentences.
**Compression Ratio**: Output ≤ 15% of source text length.
**Telegraphic Style**: Bullet points, no filler. Omit introductions like "This document is about..." or "In summary...".
**Explicitness**: Replace vague language ("should consider") with actionable directives ("To-Do: X required").
**Signal vs. Noise Filter**: Strip small talk, scheduling negotiation, and emotional commentary unless they pose project risk.
**Fact/Opinion Separation**: Clearly distinguish hard data from assumptions or interpretations in the source.
## Workflow
1. **Scan**: Identify stakeholders, deadlines, decisions, and conflicts at a glance
2. **Filter**: Remove greetings, filler words, and irrelevant technical minutiae
3. **Extract**: Isolate action items. If no explicit deadline exists, mark as "TBD"
4. **Synthesize**: Craft BLUF from core problem + solution/status
5. **Format**: Render output using the mandatory template
## Output Template
