Users and groups

Under Access you manage who uses CompanyGPT and in which context. The Users, Groups and Admin sources tabs complement the roles.

The guiding principle of the page: roles bundle permissions and capabilities, groups bundle users – both cascade to their members.

The Users tab lists all users of the environment. You open a user and assign them a role. Since every user has exactly one role, the assignment replaces the previous role.

Groups are the basis for sharing agents, prompts and skills. Two kinds are available:

  • Local groups that you create and maintain in CompanyGPT itself.
  • Entra groups that you register so that membership is taken from Microsoft Entra ID.

When setting the visibility of content you then pick exactly these groups.

The Admin sources tab shows who has administration access and where that access comes from – for example from a role or a direct grant. It is the quickest answer to the question of why a person can see the administration area.
