Audit log

The audit log records the administrative and management actions in the RAG service. It serves security, traceability and fast troubleshooting.

The area only appears for super admins (see Rights and roles).

For each entry, the overview shows:

• Timestamp: The exact date and time of the activity.
• User: Who performed the action – also when it was triggered via an API key.
• Action: What was done, e.g. file.upload, collection.create, share.create, source.sync or apikey.revoke.
• Resource Type and Resource ID: Which object is affected, such as a file, a collection, a share or a source.
• Details: Additional information about the event, e.g. the name of the affected source.
• IP Address: The address the action came from.

The filters User email, Action, Resource type, From and To narrow down the log. Clear filters removes all filters again.

Among other things, the log records uploads, deletions and re-indexing of files, actions on jobs, creating, changing and deleting collections and shares, converting existing tables to datasets, changing, deleting and manually synchronizing sources (including web crawls), pushing and emptying rows in dataset collections with a live defined schema, creating and deleting OKF bundles, and creating and revoking API keys.

Note

Since API keys act on behalf of the person who created them, automated access appears under that person in the log. A separate key per system therefore keeps the log meaningful.
