Upload

Use Upload to add single or multiple files directly to a collection. This is the fastest way to test a set of documents or to add one-off files. For recurring content, use a source instead.

Steps:

1. Select the collection the documents should be added to.
2. Drag the files into the drop area or select them by clicking.
3. The upload is created as a job and indexed; you can follow its status under Jobs.

Supported formats

.pdf, .txt, .md, .docx, .pptx, .xlsx, .xls, .odt, .ods, .odp, .html, .htm, .csv, .tsv, .parquet, .json, .eml

Note

Manually uploaded documents have no source link to an original system. If your agents should link to the original file in their answers, synchronize the documents through a source such as SharePoint instead.

For tabular data that should be queried via SQL, .csv, .xlsx and .parquet are better placed in a dataset collection than in a document collection.
