CompanyGPT Sovereign

CompanyGPT Sovereign is CompanyGPT on STACKIT, the sovereign cloud from Germany. The interface and the way you work are the same as in any other CompanyGPT environment: chat, agents, prompts, skills, and addons work as described in this documentation. The differences lie in hosting, sign-in, the models on offer, and individual addons. This page summarizes them.

Hosting and Data Storage

• Operated in Germany: CompanyGPT runs in STACKIT data centers in Germany and is operated by innFactory.
• Data stored at STACKIT: Chats, uploaded files, agents, and knowledge collections are stored in the databases and storage of this environment. The exception is documents translated by companyTRANSLATE: for translation they are stored with the translation service in the EU.
• Additional services only when approved: Whether services from European cloud providers are used in addition – for example for individual models, for computing the embeddings of companyRAG, or for translation and transcription – is decided by your organization together with innFactory for your environment. These services run in the providers’ EU regions.

Sign-in and Administration

CompanyGPT Sovereign supports three sign-in options:

Identity provider	Description
Keycloak, operated by innFactory	innFactory provides sign-in through its own Keycloak. We set up the connection to your existing user management – for example via SAML or OpenID Connect – with you during setup.
Your own Keycloak	CompanyGPT uses a Keycloak operated by your organization – for example connected to your Active Directory.
Microsoft Entra ID	Sign-in works through your Entra tenant, just like CompanyGPT on Microsoft Azure. Your IT admins prepare the tenant via the onboarding portal and select STACKIT as the hosting option there; the Azure subscription step is skipped.

Who may sign in and who is an administrator is usually controlled by groups in your identity provider. Roles, permissions, and sharing within CompanyGPT are managed as usual in companyADMIN, regardless of the identity provider.

Session duration

Depending on the identity provider and its policies, a session may remain valid for a shorter time than in other environments. You will then be asked to sign in again more often.

Models

• Open-weight models from Germany: The model selection offers models from STACKIT Model Serving, for example from the Qwen, gpt-oss, Gemma, and Llama families. They run in data centers in Germany.
• Optional models from European hyperscalers: If approved for your environment, models operated via Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud in EU regions are added.

Addons

Which addons are active in your environment is decided by your organization. In CompanyGPT Sovereign, the following applies:

companyTRANSCRIBE and companyTRANSLATE use speech and translation services from European cloud providers; whether they are active is decided per environment. For questions about addons not listed here, please contact innFactory.
